The Clerk’s Office is issuing marriage licenses and passports by appointment.  They are asking to please call and make an appointment to allow for physical distancing compliance.

The Lake County Clerk’s Office is the official record keeper for Lake County and strives to provide service in a courteous and professional manner.  This office is responsible for the processing of all real property transactions, records legal documents and Commissioner Dockets. 

 The County Clerk is also the chief election official for the County.  The Clerk plans, coordinates and conducts all elections in Lake County and ensures that elections are conducted according to State statute and all other requirements.

 The County Clerk’s Office is also responsible for the issuance of all marriage licenses and records domestic partnerships. This office also maintains voter registration information, keeps election statistics and executes passport applications.
