Ranks 31st among Oregon's 36 counties in terms of population.

 

Approximately 55% of the people live in the Lakeview area as defined by the Lakeview Urban Growth Boundary.

 "The median age is 47 years old, making it the county with the oldest median age in the region.  The median age in Lake County is eight years above the statewide median.

Only 19 percent of the county's population is younger than 18 years old.  One out of every five Lake County residents is 65 years or older and 60 percent of the population is between 18 and 64 years old."
